Former UNC Linebacker Signs with Giants

Fox Returns to New York, Hopes to Make Active Roster

Former UNC linebacker Tomon Fox has returned to the New York Giants practice squad, the team announced Monday. Fox was originally signed by the Giants as an undrafted free agent in 2022, but was waived during final roster cuts. He spent the 2022 season on the practice squads of the Carolina Panthers and Indianapolis Colts.

Fox played in 12 games for the Tar Heels in 2021, making 20 tackles, one sack, and one interception. He was a three-star recruit coming out of high school and was ranked as the No. 24 outside linebacker in the 2019 class by 247Sports.

The Giants are currently 8-6 and are in contention for a playoff spot. Fox will hope to make the active roster and contribute to the team's success down the stretch.
