The 2021 Formula 1 British Grand Prix was one for the ages. Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton collided on the opening lap, ending Verstappen's race and handing the lead to Hamilton. Hamilton went on to win the race, despite a 10-second penalty for the collision.

Russell Beats Hamilton, Norris to Silverstone Pole

George Russell put in a stunning performance in qualifying to take pole position for the British Grand Prix. Hamilton and Lando Norris rounded out the top three, giving the home crowd a 1-2-3 finish.

Verstappen Crashes Out on Opening Lap

The race started with a bang as Verstappen and Hamilton collided on the opening lap. Verstappen's car was damaged and he was forced to retire from the race. Hamilton was given a 10-second penalty for the collision, but he was still able to take the victory.

Hamilton Overcomes Penalty to Win

Despite the penalty, Hamilton was able to overcome the deficit and take the win. He crossed the line ahead of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz Jr. to secure his eighth British Grand Prix victory.
