Cyprus's National Results

The results of the 2024 European elections in Cyprus are now available. The conservative Democratic Rally (DISY) party won the most seats, with 24.3% of the vote. The Progressive Party of Working People (AKEL) came in second with 21.4% of the vote, followed by the centrist Democratic Party (DIKO) with 14.9% of the vote. The socialist Socialist Party (EDEK) won 10.2% of the vote, and the Green Party (KOP) won 8.6% of the vote.

In the European Parliament, Cypriot MEPs will be part of the following political groups:

• European People's Party (EPP): 2
• Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats (S&D): 2
• Renew Europe: 1
• Confederal Group of the European United Left - Nordic Green Left (GUE/NGL): 1

Constitutive Session

The constitutive session of the new European Parliament will be held in Strasbourg on July 2, 2024. At this session, the MEPs will elect the President of the European Parliament and the members of the Bureau.
